"You are sad because you're not fulfilling your function as a co-creator with God,and are therefore depriving yourself of joy" taken from text 7.VI,13:1
Well that quote struck an awareness within me that I had been oblivious to. In times of difficulty, stress,or when just feeling somewhat out of sorts with ourselves, how many of us quit playing our instruments and/or doing creative projects?
We're not in the mood,we tell ourselves, and what we don't realize is that in doing this,we lower our vibration even further. This can go on for days, weeks, months, and I can tell you from personal experience, when my life seemed to hit an all time low many years back,I didn't touch a guitar for years.
Sometimes life experiences totally knock us off our horse of co-creativity and instead of getting up,dusting ourselves off & getting back on the horse,we find ourselves being overwhelmed at hitting hard ground and being among the tumbleweeds.
Personally, back in 1998 when I had an three major life change/tragic events hit in rapid successive order,it was as tho someone had jerked the foundation out from underneath every aspect of my life that I knew as "home". These hit with enough speed that before I could process one event, the other had hit,and while trying to remedy that one,the third one hit....and I hadn't even processed the first one yet! I share this with you to let you know I've been there, done that in a big way. And in that,my creativity pretty much ground to a halt.
It doesn't take multiple things to knock us from the saddle. It can be a single event that upsets us. However,to stop being creative makes how we deal with it much harder to handle,as we're not working with Spirit/The Universe to co-empower ourselves.
Many musicians quit playing when experiencing the loss of a loved one. I would say that not playing for a day,or a few days,is a normal grief reaction. When you allow it to go into weeks, months, and longer, that's when the artist can really go down a slippery slope of despair.
Even in hard times, never deprive yourself of the joy of playing music,of planting a beautiful garden,of making things in your life. This is how the Creator feeds our spirit,as we're uplifted in the doing. This is where the inner strength and energy to handle the different challenges of our lives comes from. This is how solutions and inner ding moments come to us.
