Beginning Guitar

I started teaching myself guitar when I was gifted a nylon string by my parents for my 11th birthday. (Purchased at Thrifty Drug Store!) I won't say how many trips around the Sun I've done now,but I will tell you I've played for well over 30 years. I was inspired by two things: The Beatles and wanting to keep the legacy of my cowgirl Grandmother going.  In high school I took lessons at McCabes in Santa Monica from Phil Boroff, Dave Zeitlin, and Barry Solomon.   I know fingerpicking, flatpicking, and playing Carter Style.

We'll Start Slow and Walk Forward....

.    I do my own TABS for guitar. (You'll learn how to read that!) We'll learn Bluegrass and old time tunes, and Holiday tunes when it's going into that time of year. You'll learn chords and how to know what key a song is in,along with some song history and other pearls of music wisdom.

A Half Hour a Day......

The only way to make progress on any instrument is to make it a part of your daily life. Which is why I ask my students to play 30 min a day. Doesn't matter if you play while watching TV or sitting on the porch.

Fees: Lessons are $40 each. I do teach the very 1st one free tho,as I know you're seeing if you want to take up lessons with me. I take Paypal and Venmo as methods of payment.
